Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. If you live in Spain and spend more than 183 days a year here, you are a Spanish tax resident — regardless of where you work. Your Gibraltar salary must be declared to the Agencia Tributaria each year under the 2021 Spain-Gibraltar Tax Agreement. If you also have UK income (a pension, rental property, or investments), you may need a UK Self-Assessment return too. We handle both.

  • Possibly. If you have UK income — rental income, a UK pension, dividends from UK investments, or self-employment — you may still have a UK filing obligation even as a Spanish tax resident. A free consultation will confirm exactly what applies to you.

  • If you're resident in Spain (spending 183 or more days per year here), you're a Spanish tax resident and required to declare your worldwide income to the Agencia Tributaria. This includes UK income. We handle both returns, so you don't need to find a separate Spanish gestor.

  • No. The UK-Spain Double Taxation Treaty prevents you from being taxed on the same income in both countries. We apply the appropriate relief on both returns to make sure you only pay what's due — and not a penny more.

  • Yes. Getting up to date is very common, and both HMRC and the Agencia Tributaria have processes for dealing with late returns. It's always better to sort it out voluntarily. I can work through previous years alongside your current return.

  • We start with a free video or phone call, then you send me your documents securely (I'll tell you exactly what's needed). I prepare everything, send it to you for review, and then file. You'll never need to come to an office.

  • Most situations are more manageable than they feel. If yours is genuinely complex, I'll tell you honestly before we start, and agree a fixed fee that reflects it. I'll never start work without a clear fee agreed upfront.

  • Book a free consultation. That's exactly what it's for.
