These Terms govern the provision of services by The Expat Accountant.

1. Services

We provide UK tax compliance and advisory services. Spanish tax services are delivered in collaboration with a trusted local specialist.

2. Engagement

Services begin only once:

  • Scope of work is agreed

  • Fees are confirmed

  • Required information is provided

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide complete and accurate information

  • Respond to requests in a timely manner

  • Review submitted work where required

We are not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or incorrect information.

4. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are agreed in advance

  • Payment terms will be confirmed prior to work starting

  • Additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately

5. Communication

We aim to respond promptly to all communications. Response times may vary depending on workload and time of year.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the services provided

7. Third-Party Services

Where Spanish tax services are involved:

  • Work is carried out by a qualified local specialist

  • We coordinate the process but are not responsible for third-party actions

8. Confidentiality

All client information is treated as confidential and handled securely.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement at any time.

Any work completed up to that point will be invoiced accordingly.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the relevant jurisdiction (UK and/or Spain, depending on the service provided).

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website.
